About the Artist

contemplative play on jigsaw pieces

The architect-turned-craftsman is a proud Filipino before anything else. He translates his love of country by handcrafting design that is authentic to the Filipino.
As a student of sculptor Jerry Araos, a famous Filipino sculptor and activist, a mere hobby turned into life-long passion. Through his work, he wishes to inspire others with the same creativity and discipline he discovered in woodcraft.

His process is spontaneous and dynamic – as if a contemplative play on jigsaw pieces where each assembled creation is marked with individuality. Going beyond, every wood cut, color, and form has ergonomic considerations, inventing design that is both striking and comfortable.

He uses reclaimed wood from age-old houses stemming from his environmental activism. Loyal to the organic material, he constructs without the use of harsh nails, and employs only natural processes for buffing and finishing.
